This year Donvale Christian College is turning 40! To launch our celebrations FOD will be hosting a Community BBQ on Friday 20 March from 4:00 - 9:00 pm. See here for your invitation - FOD_40_Year_Party.pdf
The College has been advised by Manningham Council that road works will commence on Tindals Road this week. Once complete, the road works will significantly improve safety and will assist with the flow of traffic around the College. Delays are expected during construction but the Council have advised that efforts will be made to minimise disruption during peak times. Please be aware that the works may impact on your coming and going from the College. Manningham have advised that the works will not be complete until term 4.
Please note that College will be closed on Monday 9 March for the Labour Day weekend. We trust that you will enjoy a safe and refreshing long weekend.
The Secondary House Athletics will be held on Friday 13 March. All students will travel by bus to the Athletics Track at Hagenauer's Reserve, Elgar Road, Box Hill. If you wish to drive your child directly to or from the sports, you need to email Pam Lavery prior to the day - Pamela.firstname.lastname@example.org. Students can wear a t-shirt in their house colours and parents are most welcome to attend the event.
The 2015 Working Bee dates are now available. Please click here to check which date you are scheduled to attend. Please note that you MUST register your intention to attend with the main admin office. Only families who have registered will be allowed to participate. Please note: Students in Year 9 or above are welcome to assist their families, but they must be willing and capable to complete the tasks set for them. Younger students may attend providing they are supervised, however their presence does not contribute to the 8 hours. All students attending working bees must have parental supervision.
Primary House Athletics will be held on Wednesday 25 March at The Tom Kelly Athletics Track (formerly known as Reischiecks Reserve), George Street, East Doncaster. Buses will transport all students to the venue, departing the College at 9:00 am, and will return them to the College by 3:00 pm. Students are encouraged to wear a t-shirt in their house colours. Parents are welcome to attend the day to cheer their children on.
An invitation has been sent to all families who have commenced at DCC since mid-2014 for the New Families Information Evening. Please note that this evening will now be held on Tuesday 24 March at 7:30 pm in the G Block. Please note the change of date. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our wonderful school and community.
The Uniform Shop will be closed on Saturday 7 March due to the long weekend. The Shop will open on Saturday 14 March instead.Term 1 Holiday Trading Hours are - Monday 13 April - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and Tuesday 14 April - 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

The DCC community would like to congratulate Allysia Ng on being awarded DCC’s 2014 Dux. Allysia achieved an outstanding ATAR of 99.25!
We’d also like to congratulate Kelsey Haymes who achieved the perfect Study Score of 50 in Business Management.
We were really pleased with our results over all with 27% of students achieving an ATAR of 90+. This is the highest percentage in the College’s 40 year history.
