An exciting and diverse environment, where students are nurtured in community, experience a high-quality Christian education, and grow as individuals.

Each year level has a dedicated space, and the lower secondary buildings are created especially to enhance the sense of community and creative learning.

Our Year 7 program is designed to help the transition from Primary to Secondary, with each class having a core teacher and a staged progression into the full curriculum, enabling time for orientation and community building.

Our Year 8 program fosters students learning in community but begins to explore a world beyond the classroom. Students have more space to explore their interests with a wider and deeper elective selection but are also encouraged to step into different experiences such as community action, leadership and the beautiful areas available to the Year 8s both in their building on the edge of the lake or in the surrounding grounds.

The Year 7 and 8 curriculum begins with the core subjects of Christian Studies, English, Humanities, Languages, Mathematics, Physical Education and Science and extends into electives including Creative options, Technology and Investigations, Food Studies, Dance, and Multimedia. Students nominate and then are selected to various sporting teams and activities in an allocated time slot, each week, where they can either compete against other schools in our sporting program or enjoy community time together developing their sporting skills.

As digital natives, students engage with their subjects in online learning spaces, guided as they explore the innovative possibilities of technology. Individual laptops are the devices of choice, and we work closely with parents to ensure we get the best educational value from them. As partners in your child’s education, we also recognise the dangers inherent in the digital space, so we provide resources to help parents manage safe access to the internet.

Each week the Peer Support Student Leaders (selected from Senior School nominees) meet with the Year 7 students in small groups, modelling faith and providing friendship in our peer mentoring program. They also run social events after school hours for all the Lower Secondary students.

Beyond the classroom walls, camps, excursions and themed learning days serve to strengthen friendships, build resilience, and develop responsibility toward learning. They waken students to our amazing world and the challenges and joys of what it means to be a part of God’s Kingdom. These formative experiences help create the fabric of a young person’s journey through adolescence. Christian studies are an explicit part of the curriculum and Kingdom values permeate College life, underpinning the restorative practices we adopt in resolving the inevitable bumps and troughs as students learn how to study, play and do life together.
