Welcome to Year 7
Welcome to Year 7 - it is an exciting and significant time for students as they embark on the journey of secondary education. At Donvale Christian College we provide a structured, welcoming transition program to ensure that all students settle into the new routines and ways of life of secondary school as smoothly as possibly. Our dedicated team work closely with the students as they orient themselves to the school campus and establish friendships with each other. Throughout the year, students explore the theme of ‘Identity’ and what it is that makes us all unique. Considering factors such as friendships, family, community connections, and the wider world, Year 7 students will engage within a challenging and stimulating learning environment that will draw out their strengths and encourage them to extend themselves in all areas. Extra-curricular activities such as camp, excursions and interpersonal development days throughout the year further develop the students into capable, confident and faith-filled individuals, ready to embrace the future years at secondary school.
