The Primary School is committed to providing opportunities for students to worship God through the creative and performing arts. A school production is performed every second year and involves students from Year Prep to Year Six. It is our desire to encourage and provide an opportunity for each student in the primary years to be involved. This production is performed in Term Three (August) and in 2017 is ‘Shrek The Musical JR'.
Over the past few years we have varied our performances to known musical productions, ‘Peter Pan Jr’ (2015), 'Beauty and The Beast Jr' (2013), Seussical Jr (2011) and Ants'Hillania (2009). Prior to this we used our own gifted staff members to write our own productions, for example The Special Gift (2007).
On the alternative year, the Primary School runs Creative Arts workshops which focus on many different skills, gifts and creativity. The Creative Arts Festival culminates in a night of live performances, a display of static art items created by the children.
2017 Primary Production is ‘Shrek The Musical JR'
Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st August
The primary school will be performing the production of ‘Shrek the Musical JR' in August this year.
The Primary School is committed to allowing students to develop skills and abilities in the performing arts by all being part of a school production every two years. Including the main characters and character choir, performing arts skills are developed in other workshops and groups incorporating Year 3 to Year 6 students.
Please remember to mark the dates on your calendar the evenings as our students will be involved in each evening.
