They were closely followed by very high scores from Juliette Jeffreys (98.50), Joanne Yu (98.50) and Laura Dawson (98.15).

We are also delighted to congratulate Lloyd Smyth who achieved a perfect score of 50 in Physics.

18% of the class received an ENTER score over 90

44% were over 80

63% were over 70

There were 62 ‘A's scored in the various subjects.

We were also very pleased that all our Ni-Vanuatu students in Port Vila passed their VCE. This is a remarkable achievement given their limited educational background and their success will allow them to undertake tertiary studies in Vanuatu and in Australia.

This year the Vanuatu students' results have been included with the DCC students and what is reported in the newspapers reflects the results of the combined student body . As a consequence, the local DCC results in terms of median score and % of ‘A's achieved are significantly higher than those reported in the newspapers.

In 2009 our Vanuatu students' results will be reported as a separate campus – Donvale Christian College (Port Vila).

VCE Premier's Award - Congratulations!

Sarah Rinaudo is currently in Year 12 at DCC but already has one Year 12 subject under her belt – and she did spectacularly well at it! In fact she did so well that she was recognised as one of the winners of a Premier’s VCE Award.

Last year Sarah did Sport and Recreation (VET) units 3 and 4. Her study score at the end of the year was 50 (out of a possible 50). Not many 50s are awarded so Sarah’s result was highly commendable and put her among the top five students in the state for the subject. This qualified her to be a recipient of a Premier’s VCE Award.

The award ceremony was held at Palladium at Crown and the awards were presented by various dignitaries and celebrities, including the Premier, John Brumby, and the Governor of Victoria, David Kretser.

It was a very special occasion for Sarah and the other top students from all the various VCE subjects. We congratulate Sarah on her wonderful achievement!
