Whole school approach
Donvale CC recognises the gift of Creation from God and as such places emphasis on its stewardship. The College is part of the Australian Sustainable Schools Initiative (AuSSI) which is a professional learning process and development process that:
  • Develops a strategic approach to resource management
  • Mentors school communities in best practice Education for Sustainability
  • Engages holistic responses to comtemporary global issues

Schools aim to achieve a 5-star rating which covers the core module, biodiversity, water, energy and waste managment. Donvale currently has 3 stars (core module, biodiversity and water) and is aiming to be accredited with energy soon.

Donvale is a 'leading school' in the Green Wedgies Sustainable Schools cluster, supported by Manningham City Council. If you would like more information about these programs, please click on the links below.
